Alienbase limit orders: Set a Target Price

Alien Base supports price-triggered token trades on Base through its Epsilon trading engine. The Matcher monitors the chosen condition and routes execution through supported liquidity, subject to the order's slippage tolerance and expiry. Creating an order does not confirm a completed trade.

Which Price Direction Should Trigger the Order?

Breakdown: Which Price Direction Should Trigger the Order?
Order Mode Trigger and Form Setting
Limit Buy Buy when the token price drops to your chosen level. This is the standard buying mode in the Limit tab.
Stop Buy Buy when the token price rises to your chosen level. Enable the Stop buy toggle.
Take Profit Sell when the token price rises to your chosen level. This is the standard selling mode in the Limit tab.
Stop Loss Sell when the token price drops to your chosen level. Enable the Stop sell toggle.

Trigger Price and Execution Conditions

The trigger price controls when the Matcher attempts execution. The fill uses live liquidity, and the selected slippage tolerance applies at execution time. A chart reaching the trigger therefore does not guarantee a completed trade at that exact price.

The selling-token balance and any required spending allowance must remain sufficient when execution occurs. If execution fails because the selling balance or required allowance is insufficient, correct that shortfall before another attempt. Expiry also limits execution: an expired order will no longer execute.

Execution Fees and Gas

The Epsilon order fee depends on the order type and the asset class of the traded pair.

Limit Buy and Take Profit
The platform component is 0.01% for stable pairs, 0.05% for blue-chip pairs, and 0.10% for other pairs.
Stop Buy and Stop Loss
The platform component is 0.10% for stable pairs, 0.20% for blue-chip pairs, and 0.45% for other pairs.

Each fill also pays a 0.05% protocol execution fee and the underlying pool fees for its route. The platform component alone is therefore not the total execution cost.

Any required token approval needs ETH on Base for gas. In the documented Epsilon order flow, creation and cancellation are gasless, and the Matcher handles execution gas.

Order Setup

The connected wallet must use Base and hold the asset the order will spend. Review any token-spending approval the app requests before signing. An approval grants a contract spending permission; it is separate from creating or filling an order.

  1. Select the trading pair and switch the trading terminal's order form to Limit.
  2. Enter the amount to sell and set the trigger price. The form accepts an exact price or a percentage preset relative to the market price.
  3. Enable Stop buy or Stop sell if you want the stop variant. Check the trigger direction against the intended buy or sell.
  4. Choose the expiry and slippage tolerance. Alien Base's order guide, updated July 6, 2026, lists defaults of one week and 0.5%, respectively; both settings can be changed.
  5. Review the pair, amount, trigger direction, expiry, slippage tolerance, and fee before confirming the order in your wallet.

Order Status and Receipt

Orders created by signature are not visible on-chain at creation. The Epsilon Router handles execution on-chain, while Open orders displays the order type, amount, trigger price, and time to expiry.

Filled and expired orders move to Closed orders. Check whether the order filled or expired, since its disappearance from Open orders does not establish a trade. For a filled order, check the execution transaction and the receiving token's balance to confirm the amount received.

Cancellation and Paired Exits

Open orders provides cancellation for an outstanding order. If you place a Take Profit and a Stop Loss against the same selling balance, cancel the remaining order after the first fills. The documented setup treats them as separate orders.

Legacy Carbon Orders

Carbon-powered Limit, Range, and Recurring orders were deprecated in July 2026 with the Epsilon Router upgrade. Existing Carbon orders remain visible and withdrawable from the Dashboard, while the current app does not create new Carbon orders. Their earlier execution mechanics and fees belong to that legacy system.
